When your restaurant is connected to Google, the integration lets guests discover your restaurant on Google Search and Maps and book a table that flows directly into your 10Seat reservation book. To make this possible, 10Seat shares limited booking information with Google — primarily real-time table availability (open time slots and party sizes) so Google can show bookable times, and confirmed reservation status for bookings made through Google.
You are always in control of this connection. You can pause it, stop sharing availability, or remove your restaurant from the integration entirely at any time. The sections below explain each option.
Disconnecting turns off the connection between your restaurant and Google. After you disconnect:
Google can no longer send new reservations to your 10Seat account.
Your "Book a table" button on Google stops accepting new bookings through 10Seat.
10Seat stops sharing your availability and reservation data with Google.
Steps:
Sign in to 10Seat as a company Admin. (Disconnecting an integration requires admin permissions.)
Go to Settings → Add-ons.
Select the location you want to disconnect (using the location selector at the top).
Find the Google (Reserve with Google) integration.
Click Disable (or Disconnect).
In the confirmation dialog, confirm that you want to disconnect. You'll see a confirmation message once the integration is turned off.
Note: If you manage multiple locations, you'll need to disconnect each location separately. Disconnecting one location does not affect the others.
If you can't see the option or don't have admin access, contact your account administrator, or reach out to 10Seat support and we'll disconnect it for you.
"Availability data" means the open time slots and party sizes that Google uses to show bookable times for your restaurant. There are two ways to stop sharing it, depending on whether you want to fully disconnect or just pause sharing:
Disconnecting the Google integration (see Section 1) is the most complete way to stop sharing availability. As soon as the integration is disabled:
10Seat stops responding to availability requests for the Google connection.
Google no longer receives any new availability or reservation updates from your restaurant.
No further data about your tables, open slots, or bookings is shared through the integration.
Availability is only ever shared while the connection is active. Once it's off, sharing stops — there is no separate "feed" left running in the background.
If you want to keep the integration connected but temporarily stop accepting bookings (for example during a closure or a fully booked period), you can:
Close or block availability in 10Seat (for example by closing the relevant service periods, reducing online booking slots to zero, or pausing online bookings). With no open availability, Google will show no bookable times — even though the connection remains active.
Tip: Use Option B for temporary pauses and Option A when you want to stop sharing data altogether.
If you want your restaurant completely removed from the integration — not just paused — follow these steps to ensure both 10Seat and Google no longer hold an active connection:
Disconnect the integration in 10Seat for every location, as described in Section 1. This immediately stops all data sharing and incoming bookings.
Remove the booking link on Google. Your restaurant's bookable status on Google is managed through your Google Business Profile and Google's reservation partners. To remove the "Reserve a table" / "Book a table" option from your Google listing:
Sign in to your Google Business Profile.
Review your Bookings / Reservations settings and remove or change the reservation provider.
If the booking link still appears after disconnecting in 10Seat, contact Google support to have the reservation provider removed.
Contact 10Seat support to revoke API access (optional but recommended for a full removal). For a complete teardown, our team can revoke the integration's access credentials on our side so that no further requests are possible. Email [[email protected]] (or use in-app support) and ask us to fully remove the Google integration for your account. We'll confirm once it's done.
After these steps, your restaurant is fully removed from the integration: no availability is shared, no bookings can be received, and the connection's credentials are revoked.
Disconnecting the integration does not cancel or delete reservations that were already made. Any bookings that came in through Google before you disconnected remain in your 10Seat reservation book exactly as they are. Disconnecting only stops new data sharing and new incoming bookings.
Will disconnecting affect my other integrations (POS, payments, etc.)? No. Each integration and add-on is managed independently in Settings → Add-ons. Disconnecting Google has no effect on your POS, payment, or other connections.
Can I reconnect later? Yes. You can re-enable the Google integration at any time from Settings → Add-ons, subject to Google's own approval and listing requirements.
How quickly does sharing stop after I disconnect? Immediately. Once the integration is disabled, 10Seat stops responding to availability and reservation requests for that connection right away.
I don't see the Google integration in my Add-ons list. What do I do? The integration may be managed at the account level. Contact 10Seat support and we'll disconnect and remove it for you.
